Katrina Houghton is a 13 year old student of The Sutherland School in Trench and like many students favours certain topics.
Whilst Katrina is performing well across the board, dyslexia and other issues certainly make things more difficult.
However, as with many dyslexics, her creative edge is sharpened and she excels at topics that require a hands on approach.
Katrina has found were her strengths are within Design and Technology resistant materials, ICT, Leisure and Tourism.
Year 10 will see Katrina starting GCSE’s and in Year 11 she will start her AS levels.
Dyslexia is a drawback, but she refuses to allow it to hold her back and has been working hard on photography, I for one believe that Katrina has quite an eye for this.
Katrina is hoping to sell her work and wishes to use the money raised to assist in not only furthering her photography skills but also in furthering her education by investing in specialist software.
The photographs taken by Katrina are in the local area to Telford, but she will be travelling out across Shropshire to increase her library of photographs.

Katrina’s Digital Art certainly fits in with the digital world we are rapidly heading towards and as each photograph can be delivered by email, allows the purchaser to print them off, create a slide show, use them as backgrounds and screen savers on your computer. Very Environmentally friendly.
Photographs can be delivered on disk or in the traditional print format if requested.
